致各位 WRL 聯盟單位與咖啡烘焙專業人士：
隨著 2026 World Roasting League (WRL) 世界總決賽 進入籌備階段，我們正式啟動「國際評審團」的招募與提名程序。WRL 的核心價值在於「建立標準化的烘焙語言」，我們誠摯邀請各單位的感官專家加入，不僅是為了公平評鑑，更是為了將隱性的烘焙能力轉化為可討論、可對齊的專業標準。
一、 代表權與提名規則
每一獲授權之聯盟單位（League Unit）至多可提名 兩位（2名）代表 加入國際評審團。
- 提名選項： 您可以選擇派遣 0位、1位或2位 代表。
- 名額分配： 本屆總決賽預計組成約 14位 評審團隊。若各單位提名後仍有員額不足，將由場地主辦方選出專家補足，請各單位提早準備提名人選。
二、 重要日期與出席義務（務必出席）
所有獲選評審必須親自出席以下兩日之完整流程：
- 2026 年 6 月 1 日： 官方強制校正日（Mandatory Calibration Session）。
- 2026 年 6 月 2 日： 官方正式評鑑日（Official Evaluation Day）。
- 練習參與規範： 評審雖不干預選手於 5 月 31 日（預演日）的個人練習，但為確保評鑑當日的感官敏銳度與一致性，評審請勿參與當日選手的練習杯測。
三、 評審的角色與教育意義
WRL 評審不僅是裁判，更是推動產業對齊標準的導師。
- 技術交流： 評審可於適當時機給予選手明確的方向建議，幫助選手理解 WRL 系統的評分邏輯與標準。
- 公平性保障： 賽事設有「評審異常處理機制」。若個別評審分數明顯偏離群體常態，評審長有權裁定該分數不予計入，以確保最終結果的客觀性。
四、 評審費用說明
- 費用自理原則： 獲選擔任本屆 WRL 世界總決賽之評審，其相關交通、食宿及個人衍生費用需由評審本人或所屬聯盟單位自行負擔。請各單位於提名時務必確認此項細則。
五、 申請方式與時效限制
本賽事採主動受邀制，流程如下：
逾期處理： 超過兩週未回覆表單者，將視同自動放棄該單位之評審代表提名權，名額將由 WRL 官方直接指派遞補，以利後續賽事作業。
個別通知： WRL 官方將個別通知各國/地區授權主辦方，並提供專屬 Google 表單連結。
回覆時限： 請受邀單位在收到通知後 兩週內 完成表單填寫與資料提交。

Official Call for Judges: 2026 WRL World Final
Dear WRL League Units and Professional Roasting Communities,
As the 2026 World Roasting League (WRL) World Final enters its preparation phase, we are officially initiating the recruitment and nomination process for our International Judging Panel. The core value of WRL lies in “establishing a standardized roasting language.” We cordially invite sensory experts from each unit to join us—not only for fair evaluation but to help translate implicit roasting skills into a professional standard that can be discussed and aligned globally.
I. Representation & Nomination Rules
Each authorized League Unit is entitled to nominate up to two (2) representatives to join the International Judging Panel.
- Nomination Options: You may choose to send 0, 1, or 2 representatives.
- Panel Composition: We aim to form a panel of approximately 14 judges. Should there be any vacancies after the nomination period, the WRL Head Office and the local host will select additional experts to fill the positions. We encourage all units to prepare their nominees in advance.
II. Important Dates & Mandatory Attendance
All selected judges must be present in person for the following schedule:
- June 1, 2026: Official Mandatory Calibration Session.
- June 2, 2026: Official Evaluation Day.
- Practice Observation Guidelines: While judges do not interfere with competitors’ personal practice on May 31 (Rehearsal Day), we ask that judges refrain from participating in any practice cupping sessions on that day to ensure sensory sharpness and consistency for the official evaluation.
III. The Role of the WRL Judge & Educational Mission
A WRL Judge is more than a referee; they are mentors driving the alignment of industry standards.
- Technical Exchange: Judges are encouraged to provide clear directional suggestions to competitors at appropriate times, helping them understand the scoring logic and standards of the WRL system.
- Fairness Assurance: The competition features an “Anomaly Handling Mechanism.” If an individual judge’s scores deviate significantly from the panel’s consensus, the Chief Judge reserves the right to void that specific score to ensure the objectivity of the final result.
IV. Financial Responsibility
- Self-Funding Principle: All costs associated with serving as a judge for the WRL World Final—including airfare, local transportation, accommodation, and personal expenses—must be borne by the judge or their respective League Unit. Please confirm this detail before submitting a nomination.
V. Application Process & Deadlines
This recruitment operates on an invitation-only basis:
- Individual Notification: WRL officials will contact each regional authorized host individually and provide a dedicated Google Form link.
- Response Timeline: Nominees/Hosts must complete the form and submit all required data within two (2) weeks of receiving the notification.
- Late Submissions: Failure to respond within the two-week window will be considered a voluntary waiver of the unit’s right to nominate. The vacancy will then be filled by an official appointee designated by WRL to ensure the smooth operation of the event.
